Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our site and services.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with our services, we may collect the following information:

  • User Queries: We collect and store the questions or queries you submit to provide better search and response capabilities. This helps us improve our site and provide you with relevant answers.
  • IP Address: Your IP address may be logged when you submit a query. This helps us monitor the usage of our site and protect against unauthorized access or abuse.
  • Email Address: If you choose to sign up for our mailing list, we collect your email address to send you updates and relevant information about our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Improve the relevance and accuracy of responses to user queries.
  • Analyze trends and monitor site performance to enhance our service.
  • Protect the integrity of our platform by preventing fraud and abuse.
  • Mailing List: If you sign up, we use your email address to send updates, newsletters, or other communications you have opted into. You can unsubscribe at any time.

We do not use the data collected to identify individual users beyond mailing purposes or for unrelated marketing activities.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent: For sending newsletters and storing email addresses. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate Interests: For collecting user queries and IP addresses to improve the service and ensure site security.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or cross-site tracking. The following cookies may be set:

  • Strictly necessary (no consent required under PECR): Cloudflare's __cf_bm and cf_clearance cookies for bot management and DDoS protection. These are set automatically by our CDN and are essential to keeping the service available.
  • Analytics: We rely on Cloudflare Web Analytics (browser-side beacon β€” no cookies, no fingerprinting, no unique identifiers, counts page loads only) and Cloudflare Analytics Engine (server-side). Neither sets tracking cookies in your browser. See Cloudflare privacy policy.

If you have analytics or ad-related features enabled on your account (e.g. Pro tier with Google Analytics), additional cookies may be set; those are listed at the time of opt-in.

5. Data Retention

  • User Queries & IP Addresses: Stored securely to improve the system and detect abuse.
  • Email Addresses: Retained only while you are subscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email, after which your email will be deleted from our records.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share or sell your information with third parties. Your data is used only for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Notice and is accessible only to authorized personnel.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption and access controls, to protect your information. While no method is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR / EU GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you (Subject Access Request).
  • Rectification β€” correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure β€” deletion of your data where applicable ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction β€” limit how we process your data while a dispute is resolved.
  • Portability β€” receive your data in a structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format and transfer it to another service.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (e.g. newsletter).
  • Not be subject to automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not perform such automated decisions about users.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@awesomepapers.io. We respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK supervisory authority β€” the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/ or, if you are in the EEA, with your national data protection authority.

9. Data Controller

This website is operated by Awesome Graph Learning, a sole-trader operation based in the United Kingdom. For privacy-related concerns, Subject Access Requests, or any other data-protection enquiry, please email hello@awesomepapers.io.

We are not required to register with the Information Commissioner's Office under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 small-organisation exemption, but we adhere to UK GDPR principles in full.
